The one-of-a-kind piece of museum worthy memorabilia is comprised of the 1989 December Issue #57 of Beckett Monthly Magazine, that served as a baseball card price guide to many at the time of the magazine’s release, with Rickey Henderson on the cover showcasing a quintessential 1980 Topps Baseball Card #482 reflecting his rookie year is secured within the frame and encapsulated to ensure the card is forever preserved with an air-tight seal. This one of a kind piece of art was created after contacting the Rawlings Company to inquire about the material that Rickey Henderson’s 1979/1980 Adirondack baseball bat was made of in order to ensure the frame be constructed of the same material; Stained ash wood. Great care and attention to detail went into ensuring that the laser etching on the frame reflects what was inscribed on Rickey Henderson’s personal model bat during his MLB rookie season with the Oakland Athletics. The protective glass on the frame is made of ACRYLITE® Gallery UV filtering (OP3) conservation sheet is pure protection from the irreversible effects of both natural and artificial UV light; This material filters out nearly 100% of UV light, it's acid & distortion-free, shatterproof, and guaranteed defect free.
Given the attention to detail and care that went into the creation of this unique artwork, the condition of the rare items within the frame, and potential tax-benefits to companies and/or high-net worth individuals, we believe the minimum value for this item is $124,000. Bidders will have the option of choosing from a GEM MINT (10) version of the 1980 Topps baseball card, or the same baseball card signed by the legend and authenticated by the Beckett company.
The date is approaching fast and we’re making preparations.

The objective of this four week intensive educational program is to introduce and prepare high school students in their freshman and sophomore years for academic life at an accredited university within our United States of America.
Students will have the opportunity to participate in an accelerated mentorship program that will guide them through the process of identifying their subject(s) of interest as well as identifying the best accredited universities suited to complement their requirements.
With the support of the Los Angeles community, the former Steering Committee of Operation Heads Up ran the educational program from 2002-2007 on a shoe string budget. We now aim to expand the program nationwide. Our current steering committee is comprised of a President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Social Chair.
